SocSciBot 3 (very old version)
This is not as powerful or easy to use as SocSciBot 4 - please don't use this unless you are an existing user. If using a student network or office computer and do not have permission to install software then try option 1, otherwise option 2 is a standard installation procedure.
Option 1: Quick install. Right-click on the following file and save to a new folder on your computer (Feb. 2007 version, contains SocSciBot, SocSciBot Tools and Cyclist, plus helper files that need to stay in the same folder as the three programs). When the file has been downloaded, unzip the file. The you should be able to just click on the unzipped program to run it. If it gives you an error message, then you may need to use the full install option 2 below. You must run the programs by locating them with Windows Explorer and then double-clicking on them. On some computers this will not work and you will have to use option 2 instead.
Option 2: Full install. You must have permission to install programs on your computer to do this. Note that this process needs three separate installations and one extra task to be complete.
See the SocSciBot3 blog for more release information and to report bugs.
